Union Minister Piyush Goyal Releases State Startup Ranking Report 2022

Union minister Piyush Goyal released the State Startup Ranking. The states and union territories are ranked by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), a department under the Commerce Ministry.
As per the DPIIT report, a total of 33 states and UTs that took part in the exercise were categorised into five categories - best performers, top performers, leaders, aspiring leaders and emerging startup ecosystems.
-Gujarat, Kerala, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu have ranked as 'best performing' states in the startup ranking for 2022.
-States categorised as 'top performers' include Maharashtra, Odisha, Punjab, Rajasthan and Telangana.
