World Happiness Report 2024 is out and the United States no longer finds a place in the top 20. Meanwhile, Finland continues to lead the happiness race. Here are the 10 happiest countries in the world.
Finland, home to 5.5 million people, continues to be the happiest country for the seventh straight year.
Denmark retained its second rank in the year 2024 with 7.583 points.
Iceland took the third place. The country scored 7.525 and remained one of the happiest places on Earth.
Sweden rose from the sixth position and ranks fourth in the list of happiest countries.
Israel, amid the war with Hamas, slipped one position and was ranked fifth.

Norway successfully retained its seventh position in the World Happiness Report.
Luxembourg, which was ranked ninth in 2023, clinched the eighth position this time.
Switzerland, which was in the eighth position in 2023, has ended up in the ninth spot in 2024.
Australia improved its ranking and was placed tenth in the list after being ranked twelfth in 2023.
Afghanistan once again was ranked at the bottom of the World Happiness Report following the Taliban takeover.
In the World Happiness Report, India ranks an abysmal 126th.
