The Indian flag is a symbol of national pride, with each colour and emblem representing core values like courage, peace and progress. Take a look:

 

Saffron Colour

The saffron stripe at the top of the Indian flag represents courage, sacrifice and the spirit of renunciation. It symbolises the strength and sacrifice of those who fought for the country’s freedom.

White Colour

The white stripe in the middle signifies peace, purity and truth.

Green Colour

The green stripe at the bottom stands for faith, fertility and the prosperity of the land.

Ashoka Chakra

The navy blue wheel in the centre of the Indian flag, known as the Ashoka Chakra has 24 spokes. It represents the eternal wheel of law (Dharma chakra) as well as symbolises 24 hours of the day.
