Sawan, also known as Shravan, is an auspicious month observed in the monsoon season and is devoted to Lord Shiva. Devotees engage in various rituals and fasting to seek blessings. Here are five ways to worship Lord Shiva in Sawan 2024.

Chant Shiva Mantras

Recite powerful mantras dedicated to Lord Shiva. Regular chanting during the Sawan month can help seek divine favour and protection.

Fasting

Observe fast on Mondays, which is considered auspicious for Lord Shiva. Fasting with devotion and abstaining from certain foods can show dedication and earn blessings.

Offer Bel Patra (Bilva Leaves)

Worshippers should offer bel patra to Lord Shiva, as these leaves are considered highly sacred and are believed to bring divine blessings.

Perform Rudrabhishekam

Conduct Rudrabhishekam, a ritualistic abhishekam (bathing) of the Shiva Lingam with various sacred substances like milk, honey and water.

Engage in Charitable Acts

Engage in acts of charity and help those in need during the Sawan month. Donating to the poor and providing for the needy can help seek Lord Shiva’s blessings.
