Nikesh Arora, the CEO and chairman of Palo Alto Networks, is the sole Indian-American included in the list of the top 10 highest-paid CEOs in the US.
Arora, an alumnus of Delhi's Air Force Public School, gained recognition as Google's chief business officer. After departing from Google in 2014, he made headlines with a record-breaking compensation package at SoftBank in Japan. Since 2018, he has been leading Palo Alto Networks, a prominent cybersecurity firm
The data analytics firm C-Suite Comp released its list of the highest-paid CEOs in the US on Monday, featuring Arora at number 10.
C-Suite Comp's report includes two lists based on different metrics: "total compensation granted" in 2023 and "compensation actually paid."
Nikesh Arora made it to both lists. He ranked fourth on the "Highest Earning CEOs in the US by Total Compensation Granted in 2023" with earnings of $151.4 million.
Additionally, he secured the 10th spot on the "Highest Earning CEOs in the US by Compensation Actually Paid in 2023," with an annual compensation of $266.4 million.
