PM Narendra Modi inaugurated the International Exhibition-cum-Convention Centre (IECC) complex in the national capital on Wednesday and unveiled its new name — Bharat Mandapam.
In the early morning hours of August 8, the Moon and Jupiter will appear just 2°39′ apart, and you can easily hop between them with your eyes.
The revamped IECC complex at Pragati Maidan was developed as a national project at a cost of about Rs 2,700 crore and covers an area of approximately 123 acres.
The Prime Minister’s vision of having world-class infrastructure for hosting meetings, conferences and exhibitions in the country led to the conceptualisation of the IECC at Pragati Maidan.
Artists performed at the inauguration of the redeveloped IECC complex at Pragati Maidan. The inaugural ceremony was followed by fireworks at the venue.
Prime Minister also interacted with the workers who were involved in the construction of the complex and felicitated them.
