Ganesh Chaturthi is also known as Vinayaka Chaturthi, and lord Ganesha is called Vighnaharta, meaning the remover of obstacles. People worship lord Ganesha to invoke his divine presence and seek his blessing for overcoming life's challenges, achieving success, and solving all the problems.
This year, the festival will commence on 7 September, and the visarjan will be held on 17 September. Ganesh Chaturthi falls on Chaturthi tithi of Shukla Paksha, and the muhrat for the pooja will begin from 11:03 am to 1:34 pm.
