Eid-al-Adha 2024: Delicacies to prepare for the feast

Eid-al-Adha is the second-most important festival for Muslims all around the globe after Eid-ul-Fitr. People celebrate this day by spending time with their loved ones.

This year, Eid is going to be celebrated on June 16 in Saudi Arabia while the South Asian countries including India will celebrate it on June 17.Here are 5 delicacies you can prepare to enjoy a feast with your family and friends.

1. Biryani

A classic dish, without which Eid is incomplete. A spicy combination of flavoured rice with the meat of your choice makes for a great dish to enjoy with your family. You can prepare raita (curd-based side dish) that pairs well with biryani.

2. Kebabs

A great snack to begin your feast. Kebabs are a juicy combination of spices and meat that melt in your mouth. There are a variety of kebabs you can try like, Galouti, Shami, Chapli, etc.

3. Mutton Korma

A rich curry prepared using red meat, spices and yoghurt. You can adjust the spice level according to your preference, tastes best with naan or steamed rice.

4. Sheer Khurma

Yet another classic dessert without which your feast is incomplete. It is a creamy blend of vermicelli, milk, dry fruits etc. To add flavour to the dessert people often add cardamom and rose water.

5. Falooda

Falooda is made with rose syrup, basil seeds vermicelli, and milk. A scoop of ice cream is added on top. It is a great way to end your feast.
