Epicentre of the earthquake was in West Delhi.
According to the National Centre for Sesimology, an earthquake of 3.8 magnitude hit the Delhi NCR region on January 1.
People rushed to Twitter to confirm the news of the earthquake.
Officials said, there is no need to panic, as it was a minor earthquake.
However, Delhiites on Twitter had some hilarious memes during the chaos.
Delhi-NCR lies in seismic zone IV, classified as high-risk.
People gathered in society compounds after tremors were felt in Delhi-NCR.
Although residents of Delhi are concerned about their safety, nothing can stop them from storming Twitter with memes.
