The TomTom Traffic Index assessed 387 cities spanning 55 countries on six continents, considering their average travel time, fuel expenses, and carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions.

Bengaluru

Bengaluru, recognized as the IT capital of India, earned the distinction of being the second most congested city in 2023, following Dublin, the capital of Ireland.

Pune

In 2023, Bengaluru (ranked 6th) and Pune (ranked 7th) were the two Indian cities identified among the top ten most traffic-congested cities globally.

Delhi, Mumbai 

Delhi secured the 44th position, while Mumbai claimed the 52nd spot on the TomTom Traffic Index.
