The consumption of ginger on everyday basis is known to have some negative effects on the heart. Ginger leads to eyesight problems, heart palpitation and insomnia. A high dose of ginger also results in low blood pressure, which increases the chances of heart attack.
Over consumption of ginger leads to early uterine contractions and hence, it is suggested that women should avoid its excess intake during pregnancy.
Patients suffering from diabetes should avoid over consumption of ginger since it can be harmful. Ginger lowers blood pressure which leads to dizziness and exhaustion.
High consumption of ginger also leads to stomach problems. Ginger increases the production of bile juice and if consumed empty stomach, it leads to excessive gastric stimulation.
Overconsumption of ginger can also lead to diarrhoea or loose motion. Ginger, if consumed excessively, results in heartburn, diarrhoea, burping, and general stomach discomfort.
Ginger’s high consumption also leads to certain allergies. Redness in the eyes, dyspnoea, swollen lips, itching, itchy eyes and rashes on the skin are triggered by ginger’s overconsumption in some people.
