Truth Triumphs

The most important thing Ramayana teaches us is that no matter how powerful evil is, it will always be defeated by good. Truth always wins, no matter how vicious or poisonous a lie is.

Power of Bad Association

We all knew Kaikeyi loved Lord Ram more than her son but later asked him to go to Vanvaas due to her bad association with Manthara.

Patience, Determination & Enthusiasm

Shabri is the perfect example of patience. She waited for long to meet Lord Ram. She showed her enthusiasm by plucking flowers and fruits for her Ram. She had complete faith in him and patiently waited for him, which came true one day.

Ego and arrogance destructive

Ravana’s ego and arrogance led to his destruction, despite his being a knowledgeable, powerful and wealthy ruler. His evil intentions and stubbornness became the reasons for his downfall and end.

The power of true love

Ramayana teaches the power of unconditional love and devotion. It was Lord Ram’s unrelenting love for his wife Sita, that drove him to wage a fierce battle and defeat Ravana. Pure and selfless life is the secret of immense power and strength in the darkest times.

Treat everyone equally

Lord Rama treated everyone equally and that’s how he earned love and respect from others. He was always kind and humble to people, irrespective of their sex, age or caste.

Forgiveness better than revenge

Ravana’s decision to take revenge for his sister Surpnakha’s insult ultimately led to his death. Forgiveness leads to peace and harmony.
