After the Cannabis Act 2018 was passed, marijuana became legal in Canada for medicinal and recreational purposes. It was the first country to allow the medicinal use of marijuana.
As of June 2022, marijuana in Thailand is completely legal, after the medical marijuana laws came into effect in 2018. While some regulations are still in place, there is no personal possession limit or how many plants you can grow and cultivate.

Marijuana is legal in Germany but under tight regulatory medical situations. Its recreational use is still prohibited, though many have been caught carrying or using it. In 2016, the legislation allowed for the medical use of marijuana for patients “with no other therapeutic treatment”.

Belgium is one of the top countries for consuming marijuana. Since 2003, one can grow one female plant.
