The following data is based on WalletHub's study on "happiness" in 50 US states, based on three major factors- work environemnt, emotional and physical well-being and community and ennvironment. The rating is done in the basis of a total score gained out of 100.
Alabama ranked 45th on the list with a total score of 40.82. Alabama saw lowest rate of adequate sleep and sports participation. It was also amongst the least safe US states.
Kentucky ranked 46th on the list with a total score of 40.58. Kentucky is one of the worst state for emotional and physical well-being of a person. It also has high rate of adult depression.
Arkansas ranked 47th on the list with a total score of 39.72. Arkansas was rated among the least safe states in the US with 49th rank in terms of emotional and physical well-being.
Tennessee ranked 48th on the list with a total score of 38.30. It ranked second last in terms of community and environment. Tennessee was also recorded with high rate of adult depression.
Louisiana ranked 49th on the list with a total score of 35.86. The state ranked second last in terms of work environment with most working hours. Louisiana also recorded highest rate of divorces and was listed as the lest safe state in entire USA.
West Virginia ranked last on the list with a mere total score of 35.08. It ranked last both in terms of - work environment and emotional and physical well-being. West Virginia has the highest rate of adult depression and inadequate sleep rate.
