Cleaning your home for the Diwali season, a five-day period starting from Dhanteras and concluding with Bhaiya Dooj, is customary. However, it may get overwhelming at times. Here are a few tips to make the job easier.

Start with The Kitchen

Begin the cleaning process with the kitchen. Cleanse the racks, boxes, kitchenware, dishes, and bowls. You can employ a homemade mild cleanser or utilise detergent for the tiles.

Clean The Living and Bedroom Items

Do not wash everything together. Segregate tasks, washing curtains on one day and sofa covers or other items on another, based on your convenience.

Declutter

Eliminate items that serve no purpose anymore. Unnecessary and unused belongings add to the clutter.

Home Appliances

Dust off appliances like the television, music player, fans, fridge, and washing machine with a clean cloth. For stubborn stains, consider using baking soda on selective items.

 Clean Wash Basins and Sinks

Transform your bathroom with this toothpaste hack. Apply toothpaste on sinks and faucets, scrub with a brush, let it sit for a few minutes, and rinse with water.

 For White Walls

Toothpaste, a mildly abrasive substance, is suitable for wall cleaning. Apply toothpaste on a damp cloth, gently scrub the entire wall, and wipe it clean with a dry cloth. This gives them a fresh appearance before the festive season.
