 1. Elevated Sugar Intake

Consuming excessive sugar can induce scalp inflammation, leading to a significant reduction in scalp temperature. This, in turn, causes damage to hair and contributes to hair loss or alopecia (baldness).

 2. Genetic Factors

Male pattern baldness is polygenic, indicating that it is influenced by multiple genes.

 3. Hormonal Influence

DHT (dihydrotestosterone), present in the skin, hair follicles, and prostate, plays a crucial role in hair loss.

 4. Nutritional Deficiencies

Common nutritional deficiencies such as iron deficiency (ID), along with shortages in riboflavin, biotin, folate, and vitamin B12, are well-established causes of baldness.

 5. Obesity-related Effects

Obesity has been linked to the depletion of hair follicle stem cells (HFSCs) through the generation of specific inflammatory signals. This process impedes hair follicle regeneration, and results in the loss of hair follicles.
