1. Fidel Castro, Cuba (1960)

Fidel Castro holds the record for the longest speech in UNGA history, speaking for over 4 hours in 1960. 

2. Sékou Touré, Guinea (1960)

On Oct 10, 1960, President of Guinea Sékou Touré spoke for 2 hours and 24 minutes, making it the second longest speech of the 1960 UNGA session.  

2. Kailasa Temple, India

Located in Ellora, Maharashtra, this rock-cut temple is renowned for its intricate architecture and is believed to have been constructed in the 8th century CE.

4. Dr Soekarno, Indonesia (1960)

Another lenghty speech from 1960 came from the then Indonesian President Dr Soekarno on Sept 30. The speech lasted for 121 minutes or 2 hours and 1 minute. 

5. Gaddafi, Libya (2009)

Colonel Muammar Gaddafi spoke for about 96 minutes (1 hour and 36 minutes), famously tearing the UN Charter during his speech.
