5 Cooking Oils Which Are Harmful For Your Health 

Cottonseed Oil

Cottonseed Oil is found in many common products which we use daily like chips, canned foods and packaged goods. However, cottonseed oil comes from cotton crops on which chemicals like propargite, naled, dicofol, cyanide and trifluralin get sprayed and eventually seep inside the plant, making the oil toxic.

Soybean Oil

Even though fermented organic soybean oil has been said to be good for health, the same does not go for American soybean or soybean oil. This is because nearly 90 per cent of all soybeans grown are highly processed and genetically modified.

Safflower Oil

Safflower oil is said to contain a high amount of omega-6 fatty acids. The researchers have clearly stated that a lack of omega-3 and a high amount of omega-6 is making people very sick. This is said to cause heart disease, cancer and even diabetes.

Canola Oil

There is no existence of canola plant in nature and hence, the canola oil is just a hybrid version of a rapeseed plant. The plant goes through a refining process and gets exposed to high heat which removes the omega-3 health-promoting fatty acids. 

Sunflower oil

One of the most commonly used oils in our kitchen, sunflower oil is said to contain toxic substances called aldehydes and are likely to increase the risk of cancer and also lead to obesity.
