6 Tips to Get Rid of Split Ends

Regular Hair Trim

Schedule regular hair trims every 6-8 weeks to remove split ends and prevent them from travelling up the hair shaft.

Gentle Detangling

Use a wide-tooth comb or a brush with flexible bristles to detangle hair gently, starting from the ends and working your way up to minimise breakage.

Avoid Heat Damage

Limit the use of hot styling tools such as straighteners and curling irons and use a heat protectant spray to minimise damage if they have to be used.

Moisturize Regularly

Keep your hair well-hydrated by using a good-quality conditioner and deep conditioning treatment to prevent dryness and breakage.

Protective Hairstyles

Wear hairstyles that minimise friction and stress on your hair such as braids, buns, or ponytails. Avoid tight hairstyles that can lead to breakage.

Silk Pillowcase

Sleep on a silk or satin pillowcase to reduce friction on your hair helping to prevent split ends caused by rubbing against rougher fabrics.
