How to Explore Rajasthan: One Week Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Jaipur

Arrive at Jaipur, the state capital of Rajasthan and visit the Amber Fort and take an elephant ride up the fort (if available). Discover the City Palace and its museum, which features Rajasthani art and artefacts. Witness the magnificent Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds) and explore Jaipur's busy bazaar.

Day 2: Jaipur

Visit the historic sites of Nahargarh Fort and Jaigarh Fort on a day excursion from Jaipur. Explore Sisodia Rani Palace and its beautifully groomed gardens, and the Albert Hall Museum. At a local eatery, enjoy the wonderful Rajasthani cuisine.

Day 3: Jaipur - Pushkar

Drive from Jaipur to Pushkar, a holy city known for the Brahma Temple and Pushkar Lake. Visit the hallowed ghats and see the Aarti ceremony by the lake in the evening. Experience camel safari or hot air balloon ride in the desert.

Day 4: Pushkar - Jodhpur

Travel from Pushkar to Jodhpur, the "Blue City" and explore the magnificent Mehrangarh Fort's palaces and museum, the Clock Tower and Sardar Market. The Jaswant Thada, a stunning marble cenotaph, offers panoramic views of Jodhpur.

Day 5: Jodhpur - Udaipur

Drive from Jodhpur to Udaipur, often known as the "City of Lakes" and explore the City Palace and its museum, which displays royal artefacts and architecture. Enjoy a tranquil boat trip on Lake Pichola while admiring the splendour of Jag Mandir and Lake Palace.

Day 6: Udaipur

Visit the famous Jagdish Temple and the Saheliyon Ki Bari and in the evening, explore Bagore Ki Haveli and attend the cultural dance and music event. Visit the Monsoon Palace for a 360-degree panorama of Udaipur and to watch the sunset. At a rooftop restaurant overlooking Lake Pichola, dine on traditional Rajasthani cuisine.

Day 7: Udaipur - Departure from Jaipur

From Udaipur, return to Jaipur. Visit the renowned Jal Mahal (Water Palace) and take a stroll around Man Sagar Lake. Explore Jaipur's markets for last-minute shopping and souvenirs.
