A Successful Interim Title Defence for Aspinall

UFC interim Heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall (United Kingdom) successfully defended his title with a 60-second knockout of Curtis Blaydes (United States) in the first round of their fight at UFC 304.

A Callout to Jon Jones

Following his victory, Aspinall called out current Heavyweight champion Jon Jones (United States). "I'm the best heavyweight in the world. Prove me wrong Jon. If you think you are, prove me wrong. Simple, nothing personal, I'm hating nobody. I'm the best heavyweight in the world, if you think you are, let's settle it," the Englishman said in a social media post.

The Inactivity from Jones

Jones, the former UFC Light Heavyweight champion and one of the greatest MMA fighters, has not fought since he won the Heavyweight title at UFC 285 on March 4. The American is facing criticism for not fighting Aspinall and rather seeking to defend his title against Stipe Miocic.

The Reaction

Jones has now reacted to Aspinall's callout. In a nine-word post on X, he said, "Supply and demand at its finest, I love it." While it's not clear what Jones meant by his message, fans have said that he should face the Englishman. "Fight Aspinall. Literally, nobody cares about you vs Stipe anymore," a user on X wrote.
