NBA 2023: Play-in Tournament Format, Teams and Schedule

Top six teams in both conferences automatically advanced to the Playoffs. Teams ranked 7th through 10th compete in the Play-In Tournament to determine the rest two playoff seeds.

It's No. 7 vs No. 8 and No. 9 vs No. 10 in each conference. The winner of former advances to playoffs and the loser plays with the winner of No. 9 vs No. 10 to determine No. 8 in playoffs in each conference.
