Social media influencer-turned-boxer Jake Paul (United States) is making his mark in the world of combat sports. Paul has had 11 boxing fights of which he has won 10 and lost 1. The majority of his opponents have been retired MMA fighters. Recently, Paul secured a victory against Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) fighter Mike Perry (United States).
After defeating Perry, Paul expressed his desire to fight boxing legend Mike Tyson (United States) and then take on UFC Light Heavyweight and former Middleweight champion Alex Pereira (Brazil). “Alex Pereira, you said you want to box, I’m the king of this. Come over, we can make it happen,” Paul said.
Moments after his victory over Perry, Paul made a FaceTime call to Pereira where he asked if the UFC champion could get out of contract with the UFC to box. “Let’s go, let’s go my brother,” the Brazilian responded and said UFC President Dana White would let him out of his UFC contract.
Currently competing in the UFC, Pereira has been a world-class kickboxer and won the Glory title in two weight classes. The Brazilian has also fought as a professional boxer.
