Russian kickboxer Artem Vakhitov is set to make his entry into the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). A Light Heavyweight champion in Glory, Vakhitov defeated Alex Pereira (Brazil) at Glory 78 in Rotterdam. Pereira is the current UFC Light Heavyweight champion and former Middleweight champion.
A recent report by MMA Fighting said that Vakhitov is seeking to earn a UFC contract when he takes part in Dana White’s Contender Series on October 8 in Las Vegas.
Till now, Vakhitov has fought three MMA fights of which he has won two and lost one. The Russian has also competed in Muay Thai.
Vakhitov told MMA Fighting that Pereira had no defence. The Brazilian reacted by saying that the Russian seemed to be a bit lost.
