We always wonder whether life is possible on other planets like on Earth. Here are some planets that share many similarities with Earth:
About 40 per cent larger than Earth, Kepler-62f is about 1,200 light-years away. It completes its orbit in 267 days and potentially comprises oceans and rocky surface.
About 500 light-years from Earth, Kepler-186f orbits a red dwarf and is about 10 per cent larger than Earth. It gets about one-third of the energy from its star that Earth gets from the sun.
The first Kepler found in the habitable zone of its host star, Kepler-22b is 2.4 times than our planet in size. It is 600 light years away and completes its orbit in 290 days.
Only 22 light-years away from Earth, Gliese 667Cc is 4.5 times more massive than Earth. It takes 28 days to complete its orbit around its host star, which is much cooler than the sun.
About 2,700 light-years away, Kepler-69c is about 70 per cent larger than our planet. It completes its orbit in 242 days, with a parent star 80 per cent brighter than the sun.
