Our solar system is full of interesting mysteries. However, even after years of research, some remain unknown. Here are five unexplored mysteries of the solar system:
The two hemispheres of Mars have long puzzled scientists as they are so different from each other. This is because one comprises high mountains and the other features vast lowlands.
Titan, the largest moon of Saturn, is the only moon in the solar system that has an atmosphere. Its thick atmosphere comprises 95% nitrogen. But like on Earth, no one knows where it came from.
The Sun's atmosphere is much hotter than its surface. It is so hot that its temperature is often compared with that of its core. It remains a mystery how the surroundings are hotter than the source.
While most planets in our solar system have their axis pointing upward, Uranus has a sideways axis at a tilt of 98 degrees. It has been theorised that the planet was hit by a massive celestial body which changed its axis, but the actual reason remains a mystery.
Upon observing the uncharted regions of the Sun, scientists discovered baffling results. The South Pole of the Sun is 80,000 Kelvin cooler than the North Pole. The reason for this significant difference remains unknown.
