Asteroids are rocky objects that orbit within our solar system. They are remnants of the creation of our solar system. Here are the 5 most dangerous asteroids that can collide with Earth:

1. Bennu

Officially known as 101955 Bennu (1999 RQ36), this asteroid was discovered in September 1999. NASA has calculated that it will come close to Earth on September 24, 2182, and has a 0.037% chance of collision.

2. 29075 (1950 DA)

Asteroid 29075 (1950 DA) was initially discovered in February 1950 and was discovered again after being lost for 50 years. It has a 0.0029% chance of smashing into Earth on March 16, 2880.

3. 2023 TL4

Recently discovered in 2023, astronomers have predicted that this asteroid has a 0.00055% chance of impacting the Earth on October 10, 2119.

4. 2007 FT3

Defined as a ‘lost asteroid’ as it has not been seen since 2007, 2007 FT3 has a 0.0000096% chance of striking Earth on March 3, 2030, and a 0.0000087% chance of collision on Oct. 5, 2024.

5. 1979 XB

Lost for about 40 years, scientists have not understood the orbit of 1979 XB properly. It has a 0.000055% chance of impacting the earth on December 14, 2113.
