Rockstar Games released the much-awaited trailer of Grand Theft Auto (GTA) VI a day earlier than its scheduled Dec 5 release after the video was leaked online. The video has generated millions of views on Rockstar Games' social media platforms, including YouTube, in just a few hours.
The first trailer features car crashes, alligators and scantily dressed people cavorting around a fictional version of Miami as Tom Petty’s thumping song Love Is a Long Road plays in the background. GTA VI introduces a protagonist duo (a woman named Lucia and an unnamed man) with a relationship similar to Bonnie and Clyde. Social media posting and online streaming are potentially part of the gameplay.
GTA VI's urban landscape is quite similar to the legendary GTA Vice City. Rockstar Games said the game heads to the state of Leonida, home to the neon-soaked streets of Vice City and beyond.
GTA VI will be on the shelves in 2025, ending a decade-long speculation about the game's release among the global gaming community.
