Provide access to shade to help them stay cool during the hot weather.
Provide plenty of water and check their water sources regularly to make sure they are not empty or contaminated.
Keep animals indoors or, if not possible, create a temporary shade with access to water during the hottest part of the day to help them stay cool.
Provide ventilation to help circulate air and keep them cool. Installing a large summer cooler also helps.
Adjust feeding schedules to feed during cooler times of the day, such as early morning or late evening.
Watch for signs of heat exhaustion in animals, such as excessive panting, drooling, and lethargy. If you notice these signs, move the animal to a cooler area and provide water. Animals can also be doused in cool water, but make sure the temperature of the animal is not going down too low.
