Fact: The human body does not need help or supplements for detoxification. It can detoxify itself and does not require assistance. The liver is responsible for flushing out toxins and detoxifying the body.

Myth 2: Body Detoxes Are Safe

Fact: Several detox diets or supplements can be harmful to your health. Excess intake of a certain nutrient, modifying diet, or cutting certain food groups can have adverse consequences on your health.

Myth 3: Detox Helps To Reduce Weight

Fact: Several detox diets and supplements claim that they will help reduce weight but it is a myth. While it is true that fruits and vegetable juices cleanse and can reduce a few pounds for a short period, there is little to no evidence that body detox can help to reduce weight.

Fact: The primary role of sweating is to regulate body temperature. The liver and kidney are responsible for filtering toxins and harmful substances. Through body detoxification, you can protect your skin from external harmful substances and not remove anything from within.
