How to Make Star Anise (Chakra Phool) Oil at Home for Hair Growth

Star anise, also referred to as chakra phool in Hindi, is a popular spice in Indian homes and has several hair care advantages, including the ability to promote hair growth, reduce breakage, enhance scalp health, and add shine. Here's how to make Star Anise oil at home:

Prepare Infusion

To extract the oils from the star anise pods, gently crush them and place them in the clean glass jar, pour the carrier oil (such as coconut or olive oil) over them and seal the jar.

Place Jar in Sunny Spot

Now, for two to four weeks, place the jar in a warm, sunny spot. Shake the jar gently every few days to help the infusion process.

Strain

Strain the oil through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth to remove the Star Anise pods and then transfer the strained oil to a clean, airtight container.

Store and Use

Store the Star Anise oil in a cool, dark place. It can be used for up to six months. For best results, massage the oil into your scalp and hair regularly.
