Collect fresh lavender flowers, ideally in the morning. You can also use dried lavender if fresh isn't available.

If using fresh lavender, allow it to dry for a couple of days in a cool, dark place. This helps prevent moisture from diluting the oil.

Choose a carrier oil like olive, almond, or jojoba oil. Fill a glass jar about halfway with dried lavender flowers.

Pour the carrier oil over the lavender flowers until they are completely submerged. Seal the jar and place it in a warm, sunny spot for 2-4 weeks.

After the infusion period, strain the oil through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth.

Transfer the lavender oil to a clean, dark glass bottle to preserve its potency.
