Choose high-quality wheatgrass seeds, preferably organic. You can find them at gardening stores. Plant the seeds after soaking them in water for eight to twelve hours. This helps to speed up germination and ensures better growth.
Use shallow trays or pots with drainage holes. Fill them with a nutrient-rich potting mix, leaving about an inch of space at the top.
Evenly distribute the moistened seeds around the ground, then gently press them down, cover with a thin layer of soil and sprinkle with water.
Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Place the trays in a sunny spot or under grow lights for about 12-16 hours a day.
After about 7-10 days, when the grass is around 6-8 inches tall, use scissors to cut the wheatgrass just above the soil level. Enjoy fresh wheatgrass juice or add it to smoothies.
