Hatha Yoga

Hatha yoga is a general category that includes most yoga styles. It involves a combination of physical postures (asanas), breathing exercises (pranayama), and meditation. Hatha yoga classes are typically slower-paced and focus on alignment and breath control.

Revival of University

In 2006, the then-president APJ Abdul Kalam proposed reviving Nalanda University in an address to a joint session of the legislature in Bihar. The Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar then came out supporting the project.

Ashtanga Yoga

Ashtanga yoga is a rigorous style of yoga that follows a specific sequence of postures and is linked by flowing movements (vinyasas). It is traditionally taught in a supervised self-practice format known as the Mysore style, with a set sequence practised each time.

Kundalini Yoga

Kundalini yoga combines postures, breathing exercises, chanting, and meditation to awaken the kundalini energy at the base of the spine. This practice focuses on spiritual and mental growth, aiming to elevate consciousness.

Yin Yoga

Yin yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga with poses that are held for longer periods, typically three to five minutes or more. It targets the deeper connective tissues, such as ligaments, joints, and fascia, promoting flexibility and relaxation.

Restorative Yoga

Restorative yoga involves gentle, supported poses designed to promote deep relaxation and healing. Props like bolsters, blankets, and blocks are used to support the body, allowing for complete relaxation and stress relief.
