Crispy sabudana tikki is a delicious and crunchy snack ideal for fasting during Navratri, a vibrant nine-day festival dedicated to Goddess Durga. Follow these five easy steps to make this snack at home:
Rinse and soak the sabudana in water for four to six hours, or overnight. Drain extra water.
Combine soaked sabudana, mashed potatoes, crushed peanuts, green chillies, coriander, cumin powder and salt in a bowl. Mix well.
Take the mixture and make it into small round or flat patties (tikkis).
Heat oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat for shallow frying.
Fry the tikkis for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they are crispy and golden brown. Serve hot with yoghurt, tamarind sauce or chutney.
