Staying hydrated is an essential part of our lives. However, our bodies need more than just water. This is where electrolyte drinks come into the picture, they provide fuel to your body after a workout session or getting relieved from the heat on a hot summer's day.
Electrolyte drinks are one of the most effective ways to get electrolytes as such beverages contain mostly water, sodium potassium, and added sugars. But there's a catch.
Electrolyte drinks are easily available in grocery stores, making it convenient for people to consume them while they're on the go. However, such store-bought drinks are very high in sugar and sodium. So, it's better to go for a homemade alternative.
The recipe is quite simple. All you need is half a cup of orange or strawberries, 1/4th cup of lemon juice, 2 cups of water, 2 tablespoons of honey or maple syrup, and 1/8th teaspoon of salt. Put all ingredients in a blender and blend well. And your homemade electrolyte drink is ready.
