Acidity, also known as acid reflux or heartburn, is a common digestive problem that occurs when stomach acid flows back into the oesophagus. Here are six Ayurvedic remedies that may help alleviate acidity:

Herbal Teas

Drinking herbal teas like liquorice (mulethi), coriander, or fennel tea can help soothe the stomach lining and reduce acidity.

Amla (Indian Gooseberry)

Amla is rich in vitamin C and has cooling properties that can help balance stomach acidity.

 Cold milk

Cold milk is a traditional Ayurvedic remedy for acidity. The calcium in milk helps neutralise stomach acid, providing relief from heartburn and discomfort.

Coconut water

Coconut water is alkaline in nature and can help calm stomach acid, reducing acidity symptoms. Drink fresh coconut water regularly to maintain hydration and soothe the digestive system.

Triphala churna

Triphala churna is an Ayurvedic herbal formula consisting of three fruits: amalaki (Indian gooseberry), bibhitaki, and haritaki. It is known for its digestive benefits and can help regulate acidity levels in the stomach. Take 1-2 teaspoons of triphala churan with warm water before bedtime to support digestion and reduce acidity.

Ginger

Ginger has anti-inflammatory properties that can help reduce acidity and improve digestion. Chew on a small piece of fresh ginger or drink ginger tea made from grated ginger steeped in hot water.
