Kimbap, a beloved Korean dish, features seasoned rice and a variety of fillings wrapped in seaweed. It’s a staple in Korean cuisine and goes well with every meal or snack. Here are five tips for making Kimbap at home:

Use High-Quality Ingredients

To attain authentic flavour and texture, use seasoned rice, premium meats and fresh veggies.

Prepare Rice Properly

Add sesame oil and salt to the rice when it’s slightly warm to ensure it sticks together well.

Slice Ingredients Thinly

To make rolling easier and to improve presentation, cut meats and veggies into thin, even strips.

Rolling Technique

Utilise a bamboo mat to roll the kimbap tightly and evenly, ensuring all ingredients are perfectly wrapped.

Seal Edges

Dampen the edges of the seaweed with a bit of water or sesame oil to seal the roll and keep it from unravelling.
