Here are five early signs of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) that you must keep an eye out for:

1. High Cholesterol Levels

Irregular functioning of the liver is associated with high cholesterol levels. If you notice that your cholesterol levels are high, it is advised to get a liver function test.

2. Pain in Upper Right Abdomen

Experiencing constant pain in the upper right abdomen may indicate liver damage. If the pain is persistent for quite some time it is recommended to visit a doctor.

3. Blood Pressure

A study revealed that individuals with NAFLD are more prone to hypertension compared to other individuals. If you have high blood pressure, it is advised to book an appointment with a doctor.

4. Weight in Your Belly

Individuals who are overweight are more prone to NAFLD. If you have significant abdomen fat it might be indicative of a liver disease.

5. Fatigue

If you are experiencing constant tiredness and fatigue along with the signs mentioned above it may indicate poor liver health.
