Chemically processed foods have an adverse impact on health. It contains refined ingredients and artificial flavours that are quite unhealthy. 

1. Added Sugar

Processed foods are artificially sweetened and are high in calories. Consuming this on a daily basis can lead to health hazards such as obesity, diabetes and inflammatory diseases. 

2. Trans Fats

By eating foods that have trans fat the risk of developing heart disease or stroke increases. To increase the shelf life, processed foods are full of trans fats. 

3. Low Nutrient Content

Processed foods are low in nutrient content as they use artificial ingredients. This is extremely unhealthy for the body and can lead to many health risks. 

4. Full of Calories

Processed foods are loaded with calories. It is very easy to binge on processed foods as they stimulate our brain with a feel-good factor that forces us to continue eating. 

5. Refined Carbohydrates

Carbs are an important part of a balanced diet. However, processed foods contain refined carbohydrates. This causes frequent fluctuations in blood sugar levels which increases the risk of type 2 diabetes.
