Foods To Increase Platelets Count

Platelets are blood-clotting cells. When there is any damage to the lining of blood vessels, platelets team up and stick together at the spot and plug the damage.

Kiwi

Kiwi contains vitamin C, vitamin K, and potassium, which help with platelet production and support overall health. Antioxidants present in Kiwi can also protect cells and platelets.

Green Leafy Vegetables

Green leafy vegetables are a source of vitamin K, which is essential in the blood-clotting pathway. But they also increase platelet counts to some extent. In addition to parsley, spinach, and celery, asparagus and cabbage are also useful in increasing platelet count.

Papaya

Papaya is rich in enzymes and nutrients which stimulate the production of platelets.

Pumpkin

Pumpkins are packed with vitamin A, which is beneficial in enhancing the number of platelets being produced by the bone marrow.
