In a bowl, sieve about 190 g of all-purpose flour, 2 tablespoons of white caster sugar, 2 teaspoons of baking powder, and a pinch of salt. Whisk them to mix.
In a separate bowl, whisk together an egg, 310 ml of milk, 60 g of melted butter, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence.
Mix the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients and fold them gently using a spatula. The batter may have lumps.
Heat butter in a non-stick pan on medium flame, and scoop half a cup of batter onto the pan.
