Select and thoroughly clean fresh mushrooms. Cut them into small, bite-sized chunks.
Mix gram flour (besan), rice flour and spices like cumin, coriander, turmeric, and red chilli powder in a bowl. Add water gradually to achieve a thick, smooth batter.
Dip the mushroom slices in the batter, make sure the mushroom slices are completely covered in dipping.
Now heat oil in a pan and fry the coated mushrooms in batches until they are crispy and golden brown. To remove extra oil, drain on paper towels and serve hot.
