Amritsari masala Vadiya is a delicacy native to Punjab. It is a flavourful combination of spices and urad dal. Here are five easy steps to make Amritsari Vadiya at home:
1. Soak urad dal overnight and grind it into a thick paste.
2. Grind fennel seeds, dry chillies, black pepper, ginger, cumin seeds, garam masala and grated cauliflower to make a paste.
3. Mix the spices along with the urad dal paste well.
4. Make small vadiyas out of the batter, spread them on a plate and let them dry in the sunlight for 2-3 days.
5. Store them in an air-tight container. Add them to a curry and enjoy it with chapatti or rice.
