Ganesh Chaturthi 2024: Chocolate Modak Recipe in 5 Easy Steps

Modaks are Lord Ganesha’s favourite sweet and are offered to him during the 10-day-long Ganesh Mahotsav. Here is an easy recipe for Chocolate modak to try this Ganesh Chaturthi:

Ingredients required: condensed milk, milk, chocolate chips, graham cracker crumbs, and pistachios.

Step One: Put chocolate chips, milk, and condensed milk in a pan on medium-low heat, and keep stirring the mixture to ensure it does not stick to the pan. Let it melt until smooth and shiny.

Step Two: Add graham cracker crumbs and mix it well. Add chopped pistachios to the mixture, and mix it until it comes together like a dough ball.

Step Three: Transfer the dough to a plate and let it cool to touch. You can make modaks by hand or use a modak-mould to get the perfect shape.

Step Four: Grease the modak mould using ghee and stuff a small portion of the dough. Close the mould, re-open it after a few seconds and gently unmould it. It will give an appropriate shape to your chocolate modaks.

Step Five: Chocolate modaks are ready. You can store chocolate modaks for up to 4-5 days in the refrigerator.
