Start with essential ingredients like soaked split yellow moong dal (lentils), finely chopped cucumber, grated carrot and fresh herbs such as coriander or mint. You can also add lemon juice, green chillies, and salt for flavour.
Chop the cucumber, green chillies and grate the carrot.
In a bowl, combine the lentils and chopped vegetables. Add salt, finely chopped green chillies and freshly squeezed lemon juice. Gently toss to thoroughly mix all the ingredients.
