A warm and pleasant beverage, Kashmiri kahwa is a fragrant and flavourful tea enhanced with nuts and spices. Here are five simple steps to make Kashmiri kahwa:

Gather Ingredients

You will need green tea leaves, water, cardamom pods, cinnamon sticks, saffron strands and chopped nuts (like almonds and pistachios).

Boil Water With Spices

Boil water in a pot with four to five cardamom pods, one or two cinnamon sticks, and a few strands of saffron. Simmer for two to three minutes.

Brew Tea

Add one or two tablespoons of green tea or Kashmiri tea leaves into the pan and allow it to steep for three to four minutes.

Add Sweetener

Add one or two tablespoons of sugar or honey to sweeten the kahwa.

Serve and Garnish

Pour the kahwa into cups, then add chopped nuts on top for some crunch. Enjoy your warm and aromatic Kashmiri kahwa.
