The rainy season calls for comfort food that warms the heart and soul. Here are five Gujarati dishes you must try during the monsoon:

 

Dal Dhokli

A comforting one-pot meal made with wheat flour dumplings simmered in a spicy and tangy lentil broth.

Handvo

A savoury cake made from rice and lentils, flavoured with sesame seeds, green chillies and a variety of vegetables, offering a deliciously crispy exterior and a soft, moist interior.

Paatra

Colocasia leaves are smeared with a spiced gram flour paste, rolled, steamed and tempered with mustard seeds, offering a unique blend of flavours and textures.

Fafda-Jalebi

Bhajiya
