Me Before You tells the story of a woman Louisa, hopping from one job to another to meet her family’s needs until she becomes the caretaker of a banker left paralysed in an accident. The two form an unimaginable bond.
The platypus lays eggs, making it one of the few mammals (along with echidnas) that do so. Their eggs are soft-shelled, resembling those of reptiles rather than typical hard-shelled bird eggs.
Emu eggs are large, dark green, and have a unique texture. They are among the largest eggs laid by birds and are notable for their distinctive colouration.
Kiwi eggs are disproportionately large relative to the size of the bird. They are often the size of the female kiwi’s body and are laid in a burrow rather than a nest, making them unique among birds.
Cuckoo birds are brood parasites, laying their eggs in the nests of other bird species. Their eggs vary in colour and pattern, mimicking those of the host species to avoid detection.
Some species of cephalopods, such as squid and octopus, lay eggs that are peculiar in appearance and texture. These eggs can vary widely in size, shape, and colour, often resembling translucent capsules or gelatinous masses.
