As India celebrated the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ (consecration) ceremony of the much-awaited Ram Mandir in the city of Ayodhya on Monday (Jan 22), Mexico, a day before, got its first Lord Ram Temple in the city of Queretaro, on Sunday.

The idols consecrated in the newly built temple in Queretaro were sourced from India.
The consecration ceremony for the first Ram Temple in Mexico took place amidst the chanting of mantras and hymns by the Indian diaspora. The temple was later opened for devotees.
The Mexican city of Queretaro is also home to the first Lord Hanuman temple in Mexico.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who observed an 11-day ritual of penance and chants, unveiled the idol of Lord Ram depicted as a five-year-old in the sanctum sanctorum of the grand Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
